“Focus on the positive and find it all around you.”

— Jacqueline A. Bance

Meet Jacqueline

The seeds of Hello Bluebirds began to take root when our founder was a young girl growing up on her family’s dairy farm amidst the rocky hills of Historic Bluff Country in Southeastern Minnesota.

From the moment her teachers brought out the finger paints on her first day of Kindergarten, Jacqueline was enamored with art and creativity; she wanted to go to school every day just so she could finger paint.

Jacqueline has also long loved reading. Following weekly family trips to the local public library, she would sneak away, books in tow, to the hilly meadows near her home. There she would indulge for hours in her quiet solitude, immersed in the mysteries and adventures of detective novels. It was a pleasant break from the daily farm chores and the ever-bustling household she shared with her seven siblings, father and stepmother.

Jacqueline has explored various mediums of art and has read shelves worth of books in the years since her childhood. Inspired by becoming a grandmother and a hobby farmer, Jacqueline has more recently reignited her love of nature, art, adventure, and imagination with a focus on illustration and storytelling.

The bluebird is a symbol of joy, happiness, grace, and delight. Through Hello Bluebirds, Jacqueline offers a collection of her original art and stories, as well as opportunities for creativity, learning, and fun aimed to sprinkle joy through connections with art and nature, particularly through experiences on her hobby farm.

Jacqueline is also an information technology professional who enjoys spending time with her family and friends and taking care of the alpacas, goats, chickens, and other animals on her small hobby farm where she resides with her husband in West Central Wisconsin.

Hear from Jacqueline in our first blog post.
